If you could make your pet understand one thing, what would it be?
I have 2 doodles that are mine and one Shih-Tzu that I inherited when my grandma went into the nursing home. The dog that was inherited is 13 years old and completely deaf. The first week I had him, I had to learn how to use “body language” because I kept forgetting he couldn’t hear when I would call the dogs outside to potty or call them back in.
At first having a deaf dog was frustrating but now it’s pretty funny and entertaining. For my own sanity, having a dog that could read my mind would make life so much easier. I wouldn’t have to look so crazy anymore (over-exaggerated) hand signals and I wouldn’t have to constantly cause confusion for my other two doodles.
