FIREPLACE POETRY

A situation happened in my life last year that broke my heart. I have tried to not hold a grudge but there have been so many times I’ve found myself re-playing the scene and getting mad all over again. I know this is a cycle I need to get out of, so like everyday… I’m going to choose to give it to God and re-pivot my thoughts to things that are good.

Jesus, I want to thank you

For saving my life

You could have left me broken

but you paid the ultimate price.

Jesus, I want to thank you

Thank you for everything

When others saw a failure

You saw purpose in me.

Jesus, I want to thank you

For the air that I breathe

I won’t take this life for granted

You alone

are all I need.
