Daily writing prompt
Describe a man who has positively impacted your life.

I see you, devil—don’t play pretend.
You don’t get access. This is where it ends.
Take your lies, your fear, your flame,
Go back to hell—I know your game.

You won’t touch my home, my blood, my name.
You won’t rewrite purpose or hijack faith.
I speak truth loud. I stand up tall.
You only roar when you’re about to fall.

I don’t fight alone—I know my ground.
Jesus stands where you’re not allowed.
At His name, you lose your grip.
Every chain breaks. Every lie slips.

So back up. Bow down. Lose control.
This life’s protected. Marked. Whole.
I don’t whisper prayers—I declare who I am.
Covered by grace. Led by the Lamb.

You picked the wrong girl.
You chose the wrong time.
This destiny’s sealed—
and it was never mine to give away.

About the Poem:

This poem is a bold declaration of spiritual authority—an unflinching moment where fear is confronted, lies are named, and faith is spoken out loud. It reflects the power of standing firm, knowing who you are, and refusing to surrender what was never meant to be taken. At its heart, it’s about protection, identity, and the confidence that comes from trusting God’s presence and power.

And while Fireplace Poetry is a place where words like these are shared, it’s meant to be more than just a poetry site. If this poem stirred something in you—or if you’re carrying something heavy—there’s a prayer page available for anyone who needs prayer, encouragement, or simply a place to reach out and be heard. No pressure, no strings attached—just real people who genuinely care. Fireplace Poetry exists to create connection, comfort, and hope, both through words and through community.
