What is the biggest challenge you will face in the next six months?
Not the one on your calendar.
Not the one in your inbox.
Not the one someone else assigned to you.
The real one.
For me, the answer is clear.
It’s stepping into the calling I know God has placed on my life.
And if I’m honest?
It terrifies me.
When the Calling Feels Bigger Than You
There’s something about purpose that feels holy and heavy at the same time.
You can sense it.
You can almost touch it.
But when you imagine actually walking in it, doubt starts whispering:
- You’re not qualified.
- You don’t have enough experience.
- Who do you think you are?
- What if you fail?
The calling feels too big.
And I feel too small.
But here’s the truth I have to keep reminding myself:
It’s not that I’m underqualified.
It’s that I’m intimidated.
And intimidation is one of the enemy’s oldest tools.
Fear doesn’t always scream.
Sometimes it whispers logic.
Sometimes it disguises itself as “being realistic.”
Sometimes it sounds like humility.
But it’s still fear.
And fear is designed to keep you from moving.
The Real Challenge Is Not the Calling — It’s Obedience
The biggest challenge in the next six months won’t be building something.
It won’t be creating content.
It won’t be learning new skills.
It won’t be facing critics.
The biggest challenge will be this:
Will I step forward even when I feel unready?
Because stepping into your calling requires something most of us resist:
- Visibility
- Vulnerability
- Consistency
- Faith without guarantees
It requires you to move before you feel fully equipped.
And that’s the stretch.
The Lie That Keeps Us Small
If you feel called to something bigger than you, you are not crazy.
But you are being tested.
The enemy wants you stalled.
He wants you second-guessing.
He wants you comparing.
He wants you quiet.
Because if you stay quiet, you stay small.
And if you stay small, the impact stays small.
And that’s the real loss.
Not your comfort.
Not your ego.
Your impact.
Fireplace Poetry Is Not Just a Website
Let me say this clearly:
Fireplace Poetry is more than a poetry website.
It’s not just words on a screen.
It’s a movement of fire-starters.
It’s a reminder that your voice matters.
It’s a space where faith and creativity collide.
It’s a call to wake up what’s been sleeping inside of you.
Poetry is not decoration.
It is declaration.
It is resistance.
It is remembrance.
It is revival in written form.
And if you’ve ever read something that made your chest tighten because it felt like truth — then you understand what this is really about.
This isn’t content.
It’s calling.
What About You?
So let me bring this back to you.
What is your biggest challenge in the next six months?
Is it starting the business?
Launching the ministry?
Writing the book?
Going back to school?
Leaving what’s comfortable?
Saying yes to what scares you?
Maybe your biggest challenge isn’t external.
Maybe it’s internal.
Maybe it’s believing that God would actually use someone like you.
Maybe it’s believing you’re worthy of the vision placed in your heart.
Maybe it’s confronting the fear that’s been running the show.
Let me tell you something:
If the vision feels too big for you, it’s probably God-sized.
And God-sized callings are never meant to be carried in your own strength.
The Next Six Months Will Reveal Something
In six months, one of two things will be true:
You will either look back and say,
“I’m so glad I stepped out.”
Or you will look back and say,
“I wish I had.”
That’s the tension.
That’s the fork in the road.
The challenge isn’t comfort.
The challenge is courage.
And courage is not the absence of fear.
It is movement in spite of it.
This Is Your Reminder
You are not underqualified.
You are being stretched.
You are not incapable.
You are being prepared.
And fear is not proof that you shouldn’t move.
Sometimes it’s proof that you should.
If This Stirred Something in You…
Then don’t let it fade.
Fireplace Poetry is more than a website — it’s a space for those who feel called, stirred, unsettled in the best way.
If you’re tired of shrinking…
If you’re ready to confront fear…
If you want words that ignite something deeper…
Subscribe.
Share this with someone who’s been hesitating.
Be part of something that reminds you who you are when doubt gets loud.
Because the next six months are coming either way.
The only question is:
Will you step into the calling — or step back from it?
The fire is already there.
The real challenge?
Will you let it burn? 🔥
