She’s growing up… and it isn’t fair.
The older she gets, the more you’re there.
Your smile, your laugh, the way she stands—
It’s like life traced you with smaller hands.

I tried to run. I changed my pace.
But I still find you in her face.
Every time I look into her eyes,
I’m staring straight at old goodbyes.

I wanted to hate you. God knows I tried.
I buried the love. I swallowed my pride.
But how do you hate the man who gave
The greatest gift your heart could save?

Because without you… there’d be no her.
No tiny voice. No beautiful blur.
So I carry the ache, and I carry the truth…

I thought time would erase you…

Instead…

It raised you.
