My favorite automobile of all time was and IS the Jeep Rubicon (aka Daisy) When I turned 16, my parents surprised me with a yellow Jeep Rubicon and I will always remember feeling like the baddest chic at school. In the summer, I would take the top off the Jeep, and most of the time, I would take the doors off too. A lot of the times, my friends would want to ride with me since there was something so freeing about the Jeep (maybe it was just the fact that we were young and wild).
Having a Jeep wasn’t just a means of transportation for me, but really it was a means of community. Anytime I would pass another Jeep, we would do our hand signal and there was even a group of us who would take the Jeeps “mudding”. Getting the Jeep coated in mud was one of my favorite things because there was something exhilarating knowing you could go anywhere you wanted with your Jeep. (I felt unstoppable)
Now some of you might be wondering… What happened to my Jeep? Well…. I became a mom and had to sell it for something better suited for a newborn…
HOWEVER, when my kids get a bit older, I definitely plan on getting another Rubicon. Who knows maybe I’ll even take them mudding with me. 😉
